NCS APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The Nelson County Schools offers Education Collab students and current district employees the opportunity to enter a certified educator apprenticeship. Through the apprenticeship program, future educators will be hired by the district and work as a student teacher while enrolled at Western Kentucky University.

The Education & Early Childcare Collab is open to students grades 9-12 who have an interest in education and/or early childcare.

Through the experience, students will have options to work toward an Associate in Early Childhood Education and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Early & Elementary Education, or a Registered Apprenticeship with Nelson County Schools.
